Too Many User Accounts

Your girlfriend's should be : the 2 limited accounts she created, 1 admin
with the password she probably the gave, and probably the owner is also hers
Guest, default, all users are installed by Windows ( default serving as a
model for new ones).
All users will by default hold many programs startup entries, except on
install they offer the choice to install for "all user" or "only current
user" ( not so frequent, although it shoudl allways be offered that way).
For my part I have : admin / all users / default user / localservice /
networkservice/ myself . I think that is basically normal ( single user PC)
When more then one is using the PC an accoundt will be created for each
login-password combination ( usually baptized with the user's name)

When my girlfriend set up our PC she set up 4 user accounts ( 2
administrator accounts and 2 limited accounts). When I open up the
Documents and Settings folder on the C drive there are 9 folders for
separate accounts, 1 with my name, 2 with the names of the limited
account holders, 1 administrator, 1 default, 1 guest, 1 owner, 1 all
users and 1 default user (which should be hidden). Could someone please
explain why there are so many and also which one of these will be my
girlfriends?
Thank You.

why are there so many?
she created 4 new ones.

the Admin has to be there
the default is base for all new accounts.
there are TWO defaults?
the guest is there possibly because "Guest" account is enabled.

you tell us whose are the "Limited accounts?
don't you know her username?
WHY don't you ask her, (please honey) and why?
users should appear on klogon window if enabled.
the limited accounts don't have usernames?
with xp home, the owener is default admin account when windows was installed.

Pretty normal.

Yours

The 2 limited users

The Administrator

Default is the template applied to new users

All users is settings and program shortcuts common to all users

Guest is there because the account was logged into at least once. It
doesn't have to be there but there's no problem with it existing. Do not
delete the Guest account, it is also a system account for simple file
sharing. You can turn it off.

Owner is an account the manufacturer created. If you don't use it you
can delete the acount.
