Too many network conections

Having a 16 computer network, from time to time I am
getting the same error on various machines.

No more conections can be made to this remote computer at
this time because there are already as many connections
as the computer can accept.

But when i look at the "Max Conections" setting, it is
set to Maximum??

Please help as this is proving quite a problem

For XP PRO, the max is 10 concurrent inbound connections; for
XP HE, it is 5. To exceed those limits, upgrade your server to
use a server OS instead of a client OS.

I know about this limitation, and its very frustrating as
I cannot afford to upgrade to server software after
paying for a Volume licenced WinXP Pro. Oh well, have to
put up with I suppose.

Use win 2000 server or win 2003 XP home 5 connections
XP Pro 10 connections, Win 2000 server and win 2003
unlimited connections
