Too many fields for report?

I have a cost breakdown for new home construction...about 50 fields. It says
I have too many fields to create a report. What are the constraints? i can't
beliveyou can't print a report with over fifty entries.

Are you sure it is just the report?

How many fields do you tables have?

Try compacting the database and see if that helps.

Rich, can you be more precise about the error you are seeing?

If it says, "Too many controls", compacting will help as Joseph says.

If it says, "Record too wide", you have a different problem. The sum of the
actual number of bytes in any record in the report's source query cannot
exceed 4K characters.

If the problem occurs only when you try to create the report using a wizard,
it could be something else.
