Too many Accounts - re-re-re-installing...

Ive had to re-install xp so many times now, And, I try to keep an extra
bootable
copy on different partition....

Now I have acount after account after acount piling up in the doc and sett
folder...
each new install, it renames my computer, then i get the standard,. Admin, All
users, default users, and whatever login name i give myself....

So after 1 year now, I have something like:
5 rsg.RSGXP acounts
3 rrr.RSG-XP accounts
2 Others accounts

Plus all the default accounts mentioned above....

Almost EVERY account has SOME Little tidbit of info I want to keep...

HOW DO I compile All i want to keep into one account then DELETE all those
accounts from befoire

Hi,

Logon as administrator. Create one new account for yourself or choose an
existing one that you want. Take ownership of all the other user profiles,
then copy over data you want to keep. Go to the control panel/users, remove
the existing users that you no longer want. Then reboot and make sure
everything is ok. Then open WinExplorer to the user folders and delete the
unwanted ones.

In the future, stop reinstalling "over the top", this is what is creating
all the new accounts and renaming the system. Do a repair installation
instead which will preserve the existing accounts and settings. See:
