So what....we going to buy.........diamond...no they use ATI
se.....hmmm go with integrated graphics...lots of nvid and ati
there........sis?

simply never buy the latest and greatest....isn't that a 'common
sense' proverb in the computer hardware world?

Would it really kill anyone to have to wait a few days in order to get
the straight dope on the latest video card?
Hardly! Especially since the latest and the greatest in video cards
are really only about playing games, nothing really applicable for
serious day to day computing.
I applaud Tom's Hardware for having the courage and integrity to tell
it like it is.

Yes, but common sense and patience are two qualities lacking in the
commputer hardware consumer market.

HOT DOG! That is terrific! But how can we show support?

Easy! Just send Nvidia and ATI email stating that you support Tom's
decison and won't buy products they toss out on the market at the drop
of a hat and without allowing for sufficient time for reviewers to
give them the thorough testing we all deserve.

sounds great until they get accused of rushing a review of an ATI card, then
their credibility goes down the toilet.

I agree completely!

I was thinking to replace my HD with newer (much faster?), so made
some tests & bench on my own to see real life performance differences.
(idea was to speed up my machine a bit...) Result: not much better
with different HDs ... to little boost to throw money away again ...

Hey everyone, you should read this article from Tom's Hardware. I think we
should show them our support, as they support us with this risky decision.

I was glad to see that notice. Tom's reviews were getting pretty soft
at times. I'd like to see better, in depth reviews.

I'm sure the marketing dept boys will just chase down their crystal
meth with a few beers at a topless joint after work.

Look at the names on the reviews next time. They are not done by Tom
Pabst anymore. He sold the site.

Where do you get this information? It contradicts the information on the
webpage. He is more of an advisor now, with other editors working for him.
