You misunderstood whomever you were speaking with.

ActiveX is a set of technologies developed by Microsoft. Most people who use
the Internet will eventually come across ActiveX controls, which are a way
of implementing ActiveX technologies. ActiveX controls are pieces of
programming code that are typically downloaded and executed by your web
browser to perform specific tasks on your computer.

The phrase "update with ActiveX" is vague and has no meaning. You should
contact whomever you were speaking with and ask them to explain again what
it is they want you to do.

Try opening Internet Explorer... Go to Tools - Options -
Security Settings - "Enable Active X Controls and plugins"
