To LS-9000 users: your experiences?

Hello!

I'm considering switching from my Polaroid Sprintscan SS120 + Minolta
DSE 5400 to just a Nikon LS-9000 for both 35mm and 120 scans (90% of
which would be E6 slides and TMax BW films; no Kodachromes).
I'm looking for first-hand user experiences with this machine: strong
points, shortcomings, possible compatibility issues, warnings, and so on.
I'd also love to know how it works with Vuescan, for it would be a great
plus for me (I could drive it from my Linux box, while editing finished
scans with my Windows machine).
