So the latest is that Microsoft won't retire XP if users express
themselves. But Steve never said by what method he expects the XP
users to voice their opinion. Well, if he reads this forum: Steve,
keep XP active for another ten years. ;-)

Fanning flames without posting real articles to backup what you are saying?

Truthfully - it's going to die - but people will keep it and use it long
past its supported life (which - for updates and such - 2014... 6+ years
from now.) It's happening still with Windows 98se, with Windows NT, with
Windows 2000... It'll happen with Windows XP and it will even likely happen
with Windows Vista. I know many people (some who post in these newsgroups
about their needs with it) still use Windows 2000 or Windows 98. You likely
even know people who have a machine with (poor souls) Windows ME on a
computer.

*shrug* Each their own.

aahh don't pick on me <g> I don't turn it on very often but it's still part
of my network. It was the daughters machine but she's left home now <g>

I renamed mine "Wintendo" and now I don't feel so bad about still having it
around.

When people stand, the Flunking company better sit down.
capiche? little miss/mr hermaphrodite name?

AMEN <- Am I allowed to change the fonts to God Size?

As I said, each their own. Do what you like.

The fact is, sooner or later everything becomes obsolete/a better substitute
comes along. At this point, Windows XP will not be 'left out in the dark'
for at least 6 more years. Given the way technology changes (the speed of
it) - I'd expect Windows XP to be all but worthless to most people who do
more than check their email via pop3... ;-)

Interesting that someone gives an opinion and some facts and you return with
a personal attack. Says a lot. ;-)
