Hi Jordan,

Try the dxdiag test again after you've had the NoteBook shut off
for enough time so as there is no change of heat causing problems.
If the dxdiag display tests still fail, then we'll try some software
solutions, however if these solutions don't solve the problem, you
might be looking at a hardware issue that would involve IBM.

Reinstall your NotePad's chipset drivers, DirectX, and the video drivers.
Before making any of these updates however set a restore point.

I suggest you reinstall it, since there's no installation history present on your
system, and you're experiencing problems with the existing DX installation. ;-)

find out what my Chipset Manufacturer is and how do i
download that driver?

oh yeah.. When i first got my computer it was working
fine, but my computer came with a presentation displayer
and i changed the resolution to the appropriate size for
a powerpoint I was doing and i think it might have gotten
messed up there. I have already looked at all the display
properties for that and i cant find the problem.

Yes it was me. i forgot to fill in the information. So i
cant find the Chipset drivers and everything else didnt
work. When i boot my cpu up, the Loading Windows Xp is
also in a lower resolution/smaller box.

Theres no drives for my chipset and i installed
everything that was on the website, and it STILL dont
work! Ive tried looking for a phone number for IBM Tech

It didnt say which drivers i needed. it said i had a
Intel Brookedale i845MP and there is no driver for that
chipset, unless u find one.

i downloaded everything i can, and i think it has
something to do with the actual computer, because when i
boot it up, the Loading Windows XP screen is also in a
smaller screen.

Hi Jordan,

I guess there must be a setting on your laptop to configure
that change then. It might even be in the laptop BIOS.
You should call IBM at this point especially since you do
not have a copy of your owners manual. Keep us posted!
