TMP files

I'm getting a lot of .TMP files which I understand I may
delete. The instructions I have say that they are 0 bytes
and preceded by a ~. But I also have a lot of files which
are a lot larger, and which do not have the ~. Are any or
all of these OK to delete? I sure don't want to find out
the hard way!

As a rule, you can delete .tmp files. Sometimes, especially if you've
installed new software, the installer will leave .tmp files that it needs on
your next computer reboot to finish its job. You are able to find this out
when you try to attempt to delete them and can't.

Certainly, any .tmp files with a date earlier than the current date can be
deleted without a problem.

Thanks to you, too, David!
