We are using Word 97. We find that when we create a
document, Word will automatically pick up the 1st sentence
as Title in the Summary Tab.

Is it possible to stop doing so - This is because we want
to keep the Title Field to be "BLANK".

Thanks

Hi Paul

If you want the actual words "BLANK" to be the default title for new
documents, set this in the document template - it will then be inherited by
the new documents.

A blank (no characters) property isn't inherited (you get the first sentence
as title, as you say) though you can use a single space to get almost the
same effect.
