I have opened a workbook and the title appears to me like below:

Microsoft Excel <nomefile> [Gruppo]

I'm using the italian version of Excel and I think that the english one
would report

Microsoft Excel <nomefile> [Group]

Does anyone know what "[Gruppo]" means?

Thanks a lot.

It means that more than one worksheet has been selected and they are now in
"Group" mode.

Check your sheet tabs and note that two or more are white.

Right-click on any sheet tab and select "Ungroup sheets".

NOTE: while in "group" mode, what you do one one sheet will be done to all in
that group.

If you have been entering, editing or formatting one sheet, you best take a
look at the others and see what damage(if any) you have created while in
"group" mode.

Hope you have a backup copy.
