Tiny font in incoming emails

A few days ago, all of my incoming emails are suddenly using a very tiny font
for display in messages. The same applies if I am forwarding or replying to a
message. I have changed the font size settings in the Mail Format tab of
Options but nothing is different.

I can use the mouse wheel to zoom but things have to enlarge several times
before I can read the text.

I have a 1900x1080 display (using HDTV as monitor) and I'm not sure what
caused this change.

Is there a setting in Outlook 2007 that I can change to make text display at
a normal, readable size again?

Are you using Word to read your messages?

Depends on which Outlook version you use. See if you can click
Tools>Options>Mail Format and, if so, examine the two checkboxes referencing
Word.
 
I'm using Outlook 2007. I check the menus you suggested but I don't see any
options relating to Word.

Other ideas?

Had you stated at the outset you were using Outlook 2007, I wouldn't have
answered as I did. You don't get a choice in editors with Outlook 2007.

Exaine your zoom setting in Word.
 
Click on View, Current View, Customize Current View, Other Settings. You can
change the font and size there.
