timming out

Can someone tell me why I cannot ping an address through
run,command,ping. it keeps comming back with
timed out everytime.

i have got internet access and it is working but ok but it keeps
timming out.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

What site are you "Pinging" ? - some sites do not accept Ping traffic.
Best to start testing by Pinging -
0.) NIC to your Access Point ( Modem/Router)
1.) Your ISP's Gateway Address
2.) Your ISP's Primary DNS Server
3.) DSLReports.Com (Accepts Ping Traffic)

Thanks for the reply i always ping bbc.co.uk although i understand it
has got slower these days,but i can ping anyone and it says the same
thing.
starting to think might be my network. I do seem to loose conections a
lot lately,but then I turn off and reset router and everthing seems ok
then for abit.
I am on blueyonder, well virgin now if that helps.
