Timezone automatically resetting

W

Will Neale

I am currently working in GMT -4 timezone. Everytime I
change my timezone to GMT -4 it reverts back to GMT
(where I am based), causing me to have to change it back
3-4 times per day.

I can't put my finger on what is causing it. I am using
Windows XP and changing the timezone by double clicking
on the clock in the bottom right of the system tray. I
have not got any strange internet clock downloads
installed and I have unchecked the 'internet time
synchronisation' options in Windows.

Help appreciated - my corporate support desk is not
offering any solution. Would appreciate responses to my
email address (unless they automatically copy across to
my email address).

Are you logging on, across the net, to join your work network domain?
If so it may well be resynchronising your clock to agree with its own
