timestamped system files

Is there a list somewhere of which files get timestamps in
them when a machine is booted and other startup events. So
far I have found gpsecapp.log but i'm struggling to find
others.

I'm not sure I understand your question. What is it exactly that you are
trying to accomplish with this information?
