Timer, Tally, and Count

I am trying to expiriment with using excel to design and layout a
factory. I don't know if I can get Excel to do what I want but here
goes.

I would like to designate a cell as a station in a factory set a
certain time that station uses to "make a product" then have that cell
"send" its part to another cell named travel for an amount of time then
to the next station in the factory. for ex.

Cell A1 is Welding, welding takes 5hrs to do a job and then it sends
its parts to Cell B1 is travel, travel takes 5min to get to the next
step which is Cell C1 Paint, Paint takes 10hrs so I want a Tally of all
the parts sent to paint from welding.
When paint is done with the first part there is already 2 parts waiting
for it from welding. So there has to be a tally of the parts waiting
for paint from Welding. Also some steps are fed from more than one
step before so the count will have to add both of these parts togeather
in the tally. Also, a step or two have a percentage of parts going to
one step and the rest go to another, rounded off so only whole parts go
to each step.

Is this possible if at the beginning step I say 100 parts are needed
here and 12 there and 159 there then hit start to time how long it
takes for the parts to end up at the last cell shipping.

Should I use a diffent program, I want this simple and I am not too
concerned about how hard it is to program I just want to be able to
adjust times as changes are made and move steps here and there.

Thanks in advance
Jason
