Hi

Gantt Project <http://ganttproject.sourceforge.net/index.php> has
received some praise in this group. As far as I've used it, it seems
simple and effective and it also has option to automatically create web
pages from your project file. The second choice would be the semi-open
Open Workbench <http://www.openworkbench.org/>, which has in addition to
former nice auto-scheduling feature and overall richer feature set.

Depending on your needs, if you have relatively simple projects and few
resources, GP is a light and easy choice. On the other hand, if you have
multiple projects with external dependencies etc, or you need to do
accurate budgeting and assignment, I'd go with OWb.

Oh, yeah.. GP needs Java2 to work properly, you need to check that
before installing.

have happy project

wdnshu,
Anybody knows of a timeline freeware, like a Gant chart?

It's not specifically for Timelines but I've had reports of Sudden View
being used that way. It provides not only freeform ASCII manipulation
but also handles the visual abstration of Timelines well. I'm thinking
about doing one as a demo.

Let me know what you think.

Sudden Disruption

Sudden View...
