Timed shutdown

I've been trying to figure out some way of making my computer turn off in ex.
30min after I tell it to. I used to use the shutdown -s- t 1800, but as Vista
seem to be limited to 600s or 10min that isn't possible.
Is there any way to bypass this or some other method of making this work?
