We have one domain. The pc's are located from Arkansas to
California.....spanning several time zones. Since we updated our server to
Windows 2000, we get the following error when trying to access a share on a
2000 Pro or Wxp pc that has the time zone set to a time zone not the same as
the server (domain controller). "This server's clock is not
synchronized with the primary domain computer's clock."

Hi Jerry,

The error is quite selfexplanatory. Make sure that time is actually
syncronized across your domain.
Commands to help you with this are as follows:

net time - shows local time
net time /domain - shows time on domain controller
net time /domain /set /y - syncronizes local time with domain controller
time.

What you should know is that internal Windows clock are in UTC. Time Zone
offset is being added right before showing time to user e.g. in tray. So if
you see the *same* time in tray of two computers with different time zones
you can say for sure that time is NOT syncronized between those two
computers. I don't know if all this is obviuos for you, I'm saying it just
because I found that this concept is not clesr clear for number of people I
have discussed it with...
