Time stamps on emails either a day forward or behind real time

Dear fellow users,
The Sent and Received time stamps on my emails are completely out of sync
with real time. E.g. Emails sent to me on a Friday are indicated as having
been sent on a Thursday. My own emails sent (and received on a Wednesday)
are indicated as having been sent on a Thursday.
Any suggestions on how to adjust Outlook's clock greatly appreciated.
