time stamp

Recently, the time/date stamp on emails is inaccurate.
For instance, this morning at 9:30am CST, and email was
sent to me--the time stamp says I received it at 1:22a CST-
-even though I know the person who sent the email had just
sent it. What can cause this?

Thanks.

Did you also check your time zone settings in Outlook? (tools, options,
calendar options)

Have you asked the sender to do the same? Are you running your own mail
server, or is this POP/IMAP?
