time shift on apointments

I am experienceing a time-shift when copying a desktop
outlook.pst file to a laptop for travel.

DESCRIPTION:
I have an desktop computer running Outlook 2002. I have
this computer setup on a network and a laptop connected
to this network also running Outlook 2002.

The laptop has two Outlook profiles: Office and Remote.
I have the Outlook.pst file on the desktop setup as a
shared file so that the OFFICE profle on the laptop uses
the Outlook.pst file located on the shared desktop folder
as its datafile. As a result, when in the office, I can
use outlook from either computer (not simultaneously, of
course). The REMOTE profile on the laptop uses a local
Outlook.pst file so that it can be used when traveling.
When I travel, I overwrite the laptop's local Outlook.pst
file with the desktop's Outlook.pst, thus allowing me to
travel with a fully up-to-date version of my outlook
data. When I return to the office, I overwrite the
desktop Outlook.pst with the laptop's local Outlook.pst,
thus the office now has the up-to-date data. This works
great.

Here is the problem:

When I overwrite the laptop's Outlook.pst file for
traveling, I have noticed that all of the calendar
appointments are being shifted AHEAD ONE HOUR! An
appointment I scheduled while in the office for 3:00 PM
on Tuesday now appears as a 4:00 PM appointment when
viewing my calendar on the laptop. This is obviously a
serious problem. When I am back in the office and copy
the laptop file back to the desktop, the appointments are
shifted back to the original time. In addition, any
appointments created while traveling have now been
shifted BACKWARDS ONE HOUR!

Does anyone know why this is happening? Is there a local
clock setting on the laptop that causes this? Is there
an outlook setting that causes this?

That was it! Thanks!

Try checking to see if the laptop or the desktop is not
set to automatically adjust to daylight savings time.
Only thing I can think of right now.
