Time & Range error

Hi,

I would appreciate any help with this matter.

I have a worksheet which i was given that i am editing. Long stor
short it is a timetracking sheet and i need to make a minor change an
dont know how.

The range of hours it currently accepts in certain cells is 8am - 6p
and i need to change this! if i try sometihgn wrong such as 7am i ge
the following error "You must enter the time in 24 hour format and us
a colon as a seperator. eg 9:00 for 9am and 13:00 for 1pm. Also th
range of hours you can enter is between 8am and 6pm only"

I have tried changing the formatting of these cells (say to text as a
example) but they have no impact..

anyone able to tell me what happening with it? and how to change it?

Sounds like there is data validation used to restrict the input in thes
cells.

Select the applicable cells, then select Data > Validation and selec
the clear all option. This will then allow you to enter anything yo
like

goto the menu 'Data - Validation' and change the accepted range.
