Sorry, another time issue. I am doing time sheets and have daily start and end times for a.m, p.m and evening. These are all adding up fine and giving me total number of hours worked that week. I then need to input contracted hours such as 40 and work out whether the person is plus or minus from the contracted hours. It's this that I can't get working

Thank you

Hilary B

Hilary,

Multiply the sum of the times by 24, and then compare that number
with 40 to obtain your result.

Hi
if your values are stored as time values and your total is
in A10 and the contract hours are in B10 try
=IF(A10>=B10,"equal or more than contracted hours","less
than contracted hours")

Total for the week in C7, 40:00 in E7

=IF(C7<E7,TEXT(E7-C7,"hh:mm")&" under",TEXT(E7-C7,"hh:mm")&" over")

or if you use this for the total

=SUM(C2:C6)*24

and put 40 (not 40:00) in E7

then you can just use

=C7-E7

=C7
