time format

The table field is Date/Time (h:nn a/p).

The control has the same format and the default is "8:00 a".

Whenever the field is clicked on to edit, the display changes from above to
hh:nn:ss AMPM. Losing focus, the correct display returns.

I would prefer the displayed time to retain formatting during the user's
edit.

How can I make this work?
 
Kindly disregard previous post. Restarting Access and all seems to be good.
