You need to change the time zone that your computer is set for.
It is currently set for the US west coast time zone. Right-click
on the time display, click Adjust Date/Time, Change Time Zone...
After you get that fixed, you may have to adjust the clock time also.

I bought a laptop with Vista installed and I've been having continuous
problems with Windows Mail from the very beginning. First of all, I cannot
close Windows Mail; there are many errors: some messaged cannot be deleted,
some cannot be sent, there seem to be no logic in it. I think the
application needs to be simply removed and reinstalled, but I have no idea
how to do it since it's OEM software.

will be grateful for help,
Weronika

You can try turning off email scanning in Norton, but Windows Mail probably
won't work right as long as Norton is on the machine. Don't replace it with
McAfee.

Windows Mail is a part of Vista and very hard to uninstall or reinstall
without doing the same to the rest of Vista. You can get some of
the effect of this, though, by removing your email account under
Windows Mail, then restarting Windows Mail and creating the
account again.

For messages that won't delete, download and install this fix with
Windows Mail not running:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/941090

Although it's labelled as for mail stuck in the Outbox, it also works in
other folders. If you'd like to read about it in another language, use
the Article Translations feature near the top right of the description.
If you don't know whether to use the 32-bit version or the 64-bit
version, try the 32-bit first. Certain common antivirus programs,
such as most of those from Norton or McAfee, tend to cause such
problems, although seldom immediately, so if you have such a
program, remember where to find the fix - you are likely to need it
again. A recent version of the Trend antivirus program also causes
assorted problems in Windows Mail.

If this does not fix your problems, we need more information, such
as the entire error messages and a list of what if any antivirus
programs you have.

Most of the Norton antivirus programs cause assorted problems in Windows
Mail, although it can take months before you see the problems. To stop them
from creating new problems, you have to uninstall them, not just disable
them.
You then often need to run this program to clean up what the uninstall left
behind:

You sometimes even need to remove your email account under Windows
Mail, then restart Windows Mail and create the account again.

If this solves your problems, you may want a replacement antivirus program.
I recommend either avast! or AVG, either one with a custom install that
tells it to leave out the part that scans email.
