The numbers are not coming out correctly. Each column is
formatted as 35:30:55.

Column Q - time kid came in
Column N - time kid left

Column U - (N6-Q6)

Cell AB10 - =SUM(U:U)

It is off by at least 7 hours. Any ideas why this is
happening?

So 2:35 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. should equal 4 hours and 10
minutes. I am using military time.

Column N = 14:35:00
Column Q = 18:45:00
Column U = 4:10:00

Then in cell AB10, the formula was =SUM(U:U)

AB10 is several hours off of the hand count I am doing to
check the program.

Does that make sense?

Hi
my assumption still would be that you have to format the resulting cell
with
[hh]:mm:ss
note the square brackets. They prevent that Excel starts with zero
again after 24 hours. If you like, email me your file and I#ll have a
look at it

The formatting with brackets is not an option in my
program. I have emailed it to you to look at. Thanks for

Hi
you have to enter this as custom format. Try the following:
- select this cell
- goto 'Format - Cells'
- choose 'Custom'. This should be the last entry in the left listbox
- now MANUALLY enter this format in the right-textbox. Just overwrite
what is in this boy with [hh]:mm:ss

Hi
the problem is that you have negative values in your range (showing as
#####). These values are summed as well in your final result. So you
have to define what your happen with these values
