one of our windows 2000 servers has just started to keep
resetting its date and time to 01/01/03

has anyone seen thie bfore any ideas?

Hi Graham,

Thank you for posting!

According to your post, I understand that a Windows 2000 server keeps
resetting the system time to 01/01/03.

I am wondering if the time is reset after you restart the computer. Please
help me clarify it.

By default, the system time comes from the motherboard BIOS time. Please
restart the computer and boot into BIOS to check if the time is correct.
You may change the motherboard battery and test the problem.

In addition, boot into Safe Mode with network and check to see if the
problem occurs.

Hope this helps!

Have a great day!

Sincerely,

Hi Damon,
the time and date are resetting whilst the server is still running! It has
reset back 3 times in the last 5 minutes, this server is running citrix so i
guess it could be a citrix issue?
any help would be apprecited.
Thanks
Graham

well you might not beleive this but I have changed the battery but this
didn't fix it but have found the problem and
It was only a bug in an access database one of my users had
written...............

Was crashing out on some vsflex grid OCX whilst running a date parameter and
when it crashed it resets the date to 01/01/03 !!

Oh well, at least I have a shiny new battery in one of my servers :-)

Hi Graham,

Thanks for the reply! I'm glad to hear that the cause of the problem is
found. If you find that your issue has not been fully resolved, please let
me know by adding a post to the thread.

We look forward to helping you in the future.

Sincerely,
