Tiles/Icons

I dislike intensly those large tiles, prefer the
Icons,arranged the wau I prefer, and NOT auto aggraged.
there just must be a way to arrange my icons the way I
prefer and have that as the default arrangement.
Does anyone know just how to do this?
 
Right click in desktop screen..click arrange icons by.

And then after you do that if you want to change the size of the text
labels, right click the desktop, choose properties, appearance tab,
and poke around in the subheadings for those you want to change.
 
Open Explorer. With icons arranged the way you like them, hit Tools\Folder
Options\View\Like Current Folder.

Open a window.. Arrange it just as you want - including icon type and
arrangement, which toolbars to show, size and placement of window. Then
in its Tools - Folder Options make sure that 'remember each folder's
view settings' is checked, and then click 'Apply to All' near the top
