Thumbnails Not Working

I am running XP Home with SP2 and all the current updates. Virus software
and Spyware software, is all in tact and up to date.

I restarted my computer the other day and I was browsing a folder that
contained pictures. I always have them set to Thumbnail view, but for some
odd reason, the thumbnails aren't showing up. The files are just the
original small icons but enlarged...like Tile or Icon view. Is there anyway
to restore them so I can seem them as Thumbnails? It really helps in the
selection process.

open the folder, right click on the blank space inside of there and
choose tile view or icon view or thumbnail view or whatever you choose,
you can also get to the folder options settings i think its
tools/folder options or something, don't have a win box infront of me
to be exact but it is there trust me.

That's not what I meant. I mean even though I select Thumbnail view, they
aren't showing the actual pictures but the icons. Thanks anyway though. I'll
do some searching.

Try

Start | Run <type in> regsvr32 shimgvw.dll <enter>
