Thumbnail help

P

Philip Parker

i have upgraded my pc to widows xp and reloaded fp 2000
when I try to ad pics to the page it will only save the thumbnail and not
the larger image !
You are able to see the larger image in the browser but when you save you
can only see the smaller image, It's a while since I did this but from
memory it saved both images.
any help appreciated

You must import the large image into your web, then insert on your page, then create the thumbnail.

Ok, I import the original larger image, click on auto thumbnail, save the
page in the embedded file save is only one image, when I upload with ftp
only the thumbnail is uploaded.
previously I just right click on the full size image to auto thumbnail and
it worked ok.
now since upgrading I think one of the settings is wrong.

Are you upload via FP or a 3rd Party FTP application? If a 3rd Party FTP application then you will
need to upload the missing file.

If you are uploading with FTP, you have to click on all the files you
want uploaded, including the original photos.

At least that's the way the version I use works.

Thats the problem I cant get the original saved in the embedded file so it
will not move into the ftp upload folder.

You should not be prompted to save the large image, as it wasn't changed, modify or added to the
page.

Were you using Front Page to publish to the website, and then switched
to FTP to publish to the website?

That creates problems.
