three monitors

I was wondering if anyone was running 3 monitors on there pc unit right
now. I have dual monitors right but i want a 3rd. I am going to be
updating my pc from AGP video cards to PCI express and i was looking
around and only saw that they only have two inputs and none have 3. I
think i am not sure but i think i would have to get a motherboard with
2 pci express cards and then get to of the same video card which then
would give me 4 out puts which is too much for me or idk if i can i
just would do 3. Any ideas or comments are welcome thank you for you
time

thanks again

You mean outputs.

Slots, not cards.
and then get to of the same video card

It isnt necessary that both be the same.

Yes, you dont have to use all the outputs available, just like
you dont have to use both outputs on a dual head card either.

Thats the way to do it, more than one video card.

I use a matrox agp with 3 outputs. pretty old for gaming call of duty
2 doesn't work. seems like they will never fix it. Something about
pixel shading support.
But nice, have 3 monitors. I use mine setup in 3072X768 resolution
