those crazy line enter boxes

K

Katie

I was sent an excel spreadsheet that contained addresses
(I do not know what program it was exported out of) and
the cells contained boxes that I am assuming represent
line entrys. In the cell it looks like this Example:
123 Walnut rd (square) Ace (square) MA (square) 01111.
In the formula bar it looks like this:
123 Walnut rd (square
Ace(square)
MA(square)
01111

I am trying to get the address, city, state, zip in
different columns and even when I try to save it as text
comma delimited I cannot figure out how to duplicate that
square to remove and separate the address. Any help
would be great!!!

Data>Text to Columns>De-limited>Next "Other" Hold ALT key and type in(from the
NumPad) 0010 or 0013.

You won't see anything in the box but click Next to see what's selected for
splitting.
