I just installed the newest crop of windows critical updates from the
windoes update website and now every time I reboot my computer I
immediately get an error message that "WebScanX.exe" has generated
errors and will be closed by windows." The same happens if I kill McAfee
Vshield and then restart it from the VirusScan console. Anyone have any
ideas?

I just installed the newest crop of windows critical updates from the
windoes update website and now every time I reboot my computer I
immediately get an error message that "WebScanX.exe" has generated

McAfee Vshield and then restart it from the VirusScan console. Anyone
have any ideas?
If anyone is interested, I tracked it down to the installer update to 3.1.
I uninstalled all the updates and reinstalled them one at a time until I
found the error. If my memory serves, the last time ms updated installer
something similar happened with McAfee 4.5. I needed to uninstall it,
update the install and reinstall virusscan. Don't have access to the
virusscan disk today. Will advise when complete.

In case anyone is having similar problems, I undated to McAfee 9.1 and then
update the installer to 3.1 and I have no problems now.
