This Progarm is not responding errors - MS Word 2003

Word 2003 regurlarly hangs and the "This Program is not Resonding" box is
displayed. This is happening consistenlty for one user, and I can find no
reason for it.

It has happend in isolated cases for other users.

The PC is a HP/Comapq Intel P4 with 512MB RAM running XP SP2 in a Domain
environment
.. The OS has been re-installed, and the users XP/2003 profile deleted and
re-created. A new PC was also tried.

MS patch MS06-015 has not been installed therefore KB918165 does not apply.

Any Thoughts gratefully received

Try this:

Normal.dot is the default template that dictates what font is used, line
spacing, formatting, etc.. It can get damaged, and when damaged, Word
crashes upon opening. Delete the file then try running Word again.

Thanks Joe,
I've also already tried that. However, a colleague of mine, has just
discovered that the user in question is becoming impatient whilst waiting for
a document to open, and is clicking on the "X" to shut it down, hence causing
the error.

Looks like We may have network issues...wish I'd known that before I strated
chasing shadows
