Guys, I'm new here so bear with me. I have attached what I believe to b
descriptive of my problem. I had a good look around the forums to se
if this had been brought up before, so excuse me if it had, as I coul
not locate it.

Basically, I do a lot of adding of numbers in columns, I like to gathe
groups and also select alternate numbers, the result of the addition
can see in the status bar. What I can't figure out, is if I hit th
wrong cell, how can I back it out without loosing all my selections
The example shows it better.

Hope you guys and gals can help.

Cage

Not sure if this can be done (simply) ; try this.

*As soon as* you've added a wrong'un, hit F5, type "A1" (no quotes), press
Enter.

Hit F5 again, take out the $D$7 in "Reference", OK & carry on with D8. Could
help if you've selected loads.

Andy, thanks for that. it works, but I was after a one stroke key lik
the "Control" key for selectively adding or some "?????" key fo
selectively taking the last selection or multiple selections away.

But, thanks for the help.....
