This is not online help; this is a forum where you can go when the
online help doesn't tell you what you need to know. The people who
answer questions here aren't Microsoft employees; they're people just
like you who happen to know the answers to some of the questions, and
who take their own personal time to answer them. If that's not good
enough for you, I suggest you read the help files, get some books, and
study until you know all the answers to your own questions.

.... or to pay big buck$ for the *real* Microsoft technical support; if your
pockets are deep enough.

The *real* Microsoft help is very often less useful than what you would get
here. But if one wants to waste their money...

You can speed up the interface by using a newsreader instead of a web
interface. You can be proactive in researching your questions on the google
newsgroup archives. After all, practically every question has been asked and
answered before. As far as ineffective, can you be more specific? Which
question hasn't been answered effectively?

Yes. Thinking that disguising your name will disguise the Boeing IP address
this message came from does explain why you think this is an ineffective way
to get answers.

Like someone else said, go buy some books. None of us here work for
Microsoft. We learned it by a lot of studding and hard work. Everything I
know, and all of the gurus that I know, learned what we know from books,
magazines, searching the web, (ever hear of Google,) and a lot of hands-on
experimenting. If you don't like us here, become your own guru like the rest
of us here did.

To add to everyone else's comments, since you work at The Boeing Company, did you know that you
have an excellent internal resource available? Find the CUIS website (I don't have the URL handy
at the moment) by performing a search at Inside.Boeing.com. The Common User Interface Services
(CUIS) group web page allows you to sign yourself up to several e-mail lists for technical
questions, one of which is DL DevTalkAccess. Post your questions there, after signing up for the
list. Myself and several other people are regular participants in this group, and we answer lots
of questions every week to people like yourself.
