This database is in an unrecognizeable format

I have Access 2003. My applications and databases are in 2002/2003 format.
People with Access 2002 can install them, and when they open the backend
dtabases, they can open them with no problem.

But, when they open the .mde of the front end, they get the error "This
database is in an unrecognizeable format." with an explanation that the
database they are trying to open must have been created in a future version
of Access.

I have checked everything I can in the install package, but cannot find
anything I have done wrong. Any ideas?

This is by design. Access can only create an MDE in it's native
version so you are making ac2003 MDE's that ac2002 can not understand
because it is a future version. ac2003 could understand ac2002 MDE's
if that helps.
