Thesaurus is not working in MS Word 2007.

I have a laptop that came with a trial of Office 2007 installed. I remove
that version and installed my own office 2007 to it. Now, for some weird
behavior, any word typed into the thesaurus will give me a "no results found"
even when it works fine on another desktop machine. I already uninstalled my
version of Office 2007 once and still the same problem. Any suggestion is
appreciated.

Did this resolve the issue?

I'm experiencing the same, but if you right click the word and go to
Synonyms you get a list of words. But the Thesaurus will not come up in the
pane no matter how you try to load it.

To make thesarus work

its simple

1/ go to control panel

2/ Add or remove programs

3/ Ms office 2007

4/ change

5/ add or remove features, then click continue

6/ click office shared features

7/ click proofing tools

8/ click the english proofing tools

9/ now just remove all the cross marks shown on RED; you will make all the features enable then restart your system and open the word file, type one word, right click it , and you can see the synonyms.

i wish you all good luck.

thank you.

In my case (Windows 7 x64, Office 2010 32b) the following helped:
1. CMD as administrator
2. C:
3. cd c:\windows\SysWoW64
4. regsvr32 jscript.dll
5. regsvr32 jscript9.dll

Best regards,
Alex
