Is there a NG for desktop themes?

I find that the supplied XP themes give too bright a screen .
Turning screen Brightness etc down gives a very faded look.
I notice that many professional services operate their terminals
with a black screen and white fonts.

There are 18 options under Display/Appearance/Advanced /Items
Trying to achieve the Black/White appearance with some of
the adjustments has confounded me.

Thanks Robert.

I have had a look, and it is very comprehensive,perhaps too much so for old
me!

I'll wait a while and to see if there is anything less complex.
