Themes not surviving a reboot

I'm using third party themes, and on a reboot, certain aspects
(changes to the taskbar, scrollbars, and to the minimize/maximize/etc
options on the top right of applications) are reverting back to normal
during the reboot, and I have to re-install the skin if I want it
(using wither StyleXP or just using the themes option on Display
Properties).

Any ideas how to fix this?
