Theme question: Not defaulting to the default font

I maintain three websites. All were made using FP2003, each has a different
theme.

I do all editing on my hard drive and publish to the host server.

On one of the sites I am having a problem with the theme. I selected a
theme but now, when I prepare a new article (a new page), the default font
is not the default font for that theme. The default font is Verdana, but,
when I start a new page it defaults to Times New Roman.

Can anyone help?

Apply the Theme to the entire web, not just a single page.
