The Word 2007 Normal Template

I believe the default template is Normal.dotm for document creation.
Where does it reside, on a Windows XP machine.
It used to be located in the Microsoft\Templates folder. That folder now
has subfolders, and it is causing me a bit of confusion.
Thanks to anyone who can un-confuse-me.

Normal.dotm is found in the folder specified as the User templates folder.
You can always find the location via Word as follows:
Select Office button > Word Options > Advanced category. Click the “File
Locations†button (close to the bottom of the dialog box). In the dialog box
that opens, you can see/modify the locations of different types of documents.
To see the full path to the “User templates†folder, click that item in the
list and click Modify.

The default location is:
C:\Documents and Settings\[user name]\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates
