The trust relationship between this workstation and primary domain failed.

Hi
I am trying to create a username (from the Users and Password icon in control panel) in Windows 2000 workstation, so that I can join a domain server (Windows 2000 server) which I created recently. However, I am getting the error message "The trust relationship between this workstation and primary domain failed." This does not allow me to create a user on this workstation.
Any advise on resolving this issue is highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Sounds like the workstation hasn't successfully joined the domain.
Can you ping the DC? If not check your IPCONFIG.
Make sure you have the workstation's admin userId and password noted.
Remove the workstation from the domain using the System applet and join the
workgroup "WORKGROUP"
You'll have to restart.
Rejoin your domain using the System applet as before and use the Wizard.

IPCONFIG /ALL's from the server and workstation would help greatly.

Hope this helps.
