Hi, everyone:

I have a win32 program, which run on xp professional ok, now when I migrate
it to xpe , it running slower, how can I make it as same speed as it in xp
pro? I mean, what component should I add into xpe, make it like the
behavious as the xp pro?

My win32 program takes almost 80% CPU usage or more than that on xp pro, now
it must be around 100% on xpe (which I can not see, since I did not include
this resourse manager component to watch), so it make the buttons or some
input functions very slow to response… which really trouble me..

Do you have any suggestion about it?

By the way, I did not install the OEM driver both on xp pro and xpe, since
my application runs just ok, so I did not install. Like the motherboard
driver, display driver, etc. Are they helpful? But it seems ok on the xp
pro platform when I did not install either..

Thank you ,

Winston..

Hi winston,

What is your programme axactly doing?
If you don't have installed propper drivers for your motherboard you can not
expect that the board works optimal. Standard drivers work in compatibility
mode.
You can see this when using standard VGA drivers for your grahics card or
standard ATA drivers for your IDE controller. If you want to have full
performance it is a must to install the propper chipset drivers.
