The problem about checking for security updates from SUS in the MBSA

Dear all,
I installed the Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer to enhance the
security issue. When I selected to use my SUS server to check what patches I
didn't install and pressed the "Start scan" option. The next screen appeared
and showed "Could not get SUS data from server http://servername." . What
does it mean? How could I solve it? I need some comment to help me. Thanks.

Howard,

I have this problem when I attempt to use the DNS CNAME of the SUS server,
not the real name. For example: Server name is SUS1, it works OK. SUS
website is sus.domain.com, which does not work.

Does this sound like your problem?
