I need to setup a lots of HP D530 PCs in a very short time, so I make a
standard ghost file and copied to all the other PCs.

it seesm worked very well execpt for a few problems like 'power managment'.

In the target machine, while I shutdown the WinXP, the machine power will
not shutdown. it stay at the windows'you are safe to shutdown the machine'.
so I have to shutdonw the mahcine by hand.

is there any way we can shutdown the power while the the XP is shutdown?

Thanks for any advice.

Best Regards,

Bruce

A probable cause is that your installation found the BIOS does not
adequately support the 'Advanced Configuration & Power Interface'
(ACPI). It then installs the older APM, but leaves it disabled. Go to
Control Panel - Power Options, and if there is an APM page, check
'Enable APM' on it.
