What can I do to fix this problem

Download and install this fix, with Windows Mail not running:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/941090

Although it's labelled as for mail stuck in the Outbox, it also works
in other folders. If you don't know whether to use the 32-bit
version or the 64-bit version, try the 32-bit version first. Certain
common antivirus programs, such as most of those from Norton
or McAfee, or a recent one from Trend, tend to cause such
problems, although seldom immediately, so if you have such a
program, remember where to find the fix - you may need it
again.

I have the same problem...can't delete the error messages and can't sent out
any emails. The outbox has a bad email that is blocking the whole thing. I
have 33 emails backed up waiting to go out.

What do we have to do to delete these bad emails?

Thank You robertmiles this samething has happened to my wifes laptop and the
tech support people we had called were all stumped as to how to fix it and we
were left with just an I'm sorry. My wifew asked me how you would know the
fix when the tech support people didn't, I guess you must work for microsoft?
Thanks again.

Greatfully
Dave

You're welcome. No, few if any of the people providing answers in this
newsgroup work for Microsoft, and I don't either. I've seen that fix posted
here about a dozen times a day, though.

I've had that problem for the last week. The fix from sixpackdad did the
trick. Thanks a bunch.

Move any messages that will, from the Outbox to the Drafts Folder.

Apply this Microsoft Hotfix:

Messages may be stuck in the Outbox when you use Windows Mail on a computer
that is running Windows Vista

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/941090

Download and then install.

Also get WMUtil from http://www.oehelp.com/WMUtil/Default.aspx
Read the instructions.

WMUtil should do the job for you, if the hotfix fails.
