I get the Logon Message that the system can't log me on
to XP Pro because "the handle is invalid". Can't logon to
my domain or to the PC locally. Wrong user name or
password gets incorrect password or username error but
valid user and password gets handle is invalid.
Anybody seen this and/or know the fix?

Rick,

When did this start to happen, It looks as if there is a problem with
LSASS:

The box was fine for a few weeks, nothing new on it, just
all of a sudden wouldn't let me log on. When I try to look
at it from a W2k box, I get an error that "The trust
relationship between the workstation and the primary
domain failed." It shows up in Server Manager on the PDC
but I get the same trust error if I try to do anything.
What I really don't get is the error trying to log on
locally.
Any help would be appreciated, don't want to re-
install....again.
Thanks,
Rick

If you start in safe mode (with netowrking) does it make a difference?

No it doesn't, same error. Last known good doesn't help
either. I guess I'll have to reinstall unless you have
something else for me to try.
Thanks,
Rick

Rick,
You may want to review the thread I started on 12/31/03 titled: LSASS.EXE - SYSTEM ERROR.
It sounds as if you have a similiar problem to the one I had, however, I was not logging into a domain.
The fix for me was KB307545.
